FAQs

WE HAVE THE ANSWERS YOU NEED AT STL CABINET REFINISHING

  • How do I clean my newly refinished cabinets?

We recommend a damp microfiber cloth with dawn dish soap if needed.

  • How long does the paint take to fully cure?

Our paint dries to the touch in 1 hour, but to fully cure can take up to a few weeks.

  • What is the Refinishing process in the house?

We remove the doors and drawer faces, to be refinished at the shop. Mask the walls, ceilings, appliances, floor, and countertops. Put a Zip Wall floor to ceiling to block all dust from getting out. Sand, prime, and paint all cabinet surfaces. Install finished doors and clean up our masking.

  • What do I need to do before you start our project?

All cabinets and drawers need to be emptied. All countertops need to be cleared. Everything needs to be cleared off the top of the cabinets. The refrigerator needs to be moved out of its cubby. The stove and microwave do not need to be moved.

  • Do you install new hardware after refinishing?

Yes. We do not supply the knobs or pulls, but if you have them before we install the doors, we will put the new hardware on.

  • Do you have a warranty?

Yes. We have a 2 year warranty on all of our refinishing work.

  • Do we get touch up paint after you are done?

Yes. We give you 6 ounces of each color we use at your house.

  • Do you do custom cabinets?

Yes. We can make any sized cabinet or multiple to put anywhere in your house.

  • Do you do any rolling/brushing of the paint?

No. We use a commercial HVLP spray system to create the best factory finish on all surfaces of the cabinetry.
